Creek Week 2019

Creek Week is a week long series of activities culminating in an event for children at Carmichael Park.  This event has several parts to it:  Creek Week Clean Up, Outreach, Water Quality Monitoring and Youth Casting Instruction.

This year's events will take place from April 6th to the 13th.  Volunteers are needed to assist.  To sign up for email notifications check the pages linked below, or contact Bill Templin or Bud Croenwett.

Welcome to SSTU - Holiday Dinner 2009

Welcome to the Sac-Sierra Chapter of Trout Unlimited!

You are cordially invited to come and celebrate the holiday season at our annual Members' Holiday Dinner. The dinner will be a relaxing social event where we can get together and enjoy good food and good company in a warm, comfortable setting. We will be having a silent auction and raffle that will feature some great gifts and prizes, so make sure to RSVP today!

The Sequoia House is a beautiful restored Victorian mansion that was recently ranked #1 in a reader's poll for restaurants in the foothills area.

Dinner service will begin with:

Sequoia House mixed green salad with organic mixed greens, sweet orange sections, mission figs, almonds, jack cheese and a citrus vinaigrette.

The entrée selections include a choice of:

Asian Skirt Steak with house-made Chinese BBQ sauce, served with wasabi mashed potatoes

Artichoke Chicken sautéed with artichoke hearts & mushrooms, served with rice pilaf

Grilled Salmon served with tomato basil hollandaise & rice pilaf

Dessert will be:

Cheesecake with caramel and raspberry sauces

Meeting Information

GENERAL MEETING

Currently, Sac-Sierra Chapter holds only one general membership meeting a year. This meeting is typically combined with one of our board meetings or work days. This year's meeting (2014) is scheduled for October. Please watch our events calendar for the specific date, time, and location.

 

BOARD MEETING

When: 3rd Wednesday of every month (except December) at 7 PM

Where: Locations vary at the discretion of the board, and are sometimes held solely by teleconference requiring broadband internet access. American River Salmon School Days

American River Salmon School Days is a program from the California Department of Fish and Game for fourth-grade students in Sacramento County.  Taking place each fall at five locations, students learn through interactive activities about the life cycle of the chinook salmon.

Complete the School Days online application form, or print the application (PDF) to fax or mail. Awarded on a lottery basis.
